It’s Over

The World Series is over, and it didn’t turn out quite the way I wanted it. I guess the people at Macy’s weren’t psychic or magical after all.

Congrats to the Yankees, winning it last night 4 games to 2. The Yankees seemed to be able to capitalize on almost every miscue the Phillies made in the Series. The Phillies played hard, but in the end the magic ran out, and there would be no come-from-behind victory.

Surprisingly, I’m not in as bad a mood today as I thought I’d be. I’m not going to think about baseball the rest of the day (well, try not to, anyway).

I’m going to relax in front of the TV tonight, catch up on missed episodes of Desperate Housewives and CSI: New York, and not have to get a brain cramp while trying to beam positive thoughts to the Phillies. But I’ll be back tomorrow with a collection of random World Series thoughts :-).

From a Yankee fan to a Phillie fan, this is probably the maturest blog I’ve read today.

This series was great. If the Phils had a couple of key people step up like everyone expected (ie Howard, Rollins), and if Hamels was Hamels of last year, we’d be watching game 7 tonight.

I’m pretty sure you’ll be back there again next year.

Now I cant believe you watch desperate housewives….and that show with NY in it…LOL I did exactly the same thing except it was NCIS and Bones….LOL
Looking forward to see the off-season moves and spring training is just a few snow falls away….

Thanks, thefreak. You know we’re all hoping Hamels can rebound next season. And I hope you’re right about the Phillies being back :-).
Peter – DH is actually one of my fave shows. The dialogue this season is much improved, very funny and full of double entendres. I am definitely counting the days to ST!
Jenn – Watched DH last night, will be watching CSI tonight. How much longer until Lost starts back up?

I love that pic of the cat with the remote! Did you take it, Sue? I know what a pro photographer you are. Yes, it’s all over now and it’s back to “real life.” Sigh. I haven’t seen “Desperate Housewives” in so long that it would take me a whole season to catch up. I’m thinking of throwing myself into….hockey? Or maybe the Food Network?

Jane – No cats in my house, my husband doesn’t like them too much. That’s just a photo I found doing a Google search. Hockey? Not for me. I’ll probably watch some football, but it’s just not the same.
Julia – Yes, it should be very interesting. The Phillies did not pick up Feliz’s option so I’m wondering who they’ve got in their sights to play third.
